Our hope is that someday Charters for Charities might own its own buses. For now, however we will work as a networking site to help connect charities in need of transportation with organizations or individuals who have that transportation.

If anyone would like to support the mission of Charters for Charities we can help connect you with the charities in need.

Take for example, a summer camp which needs help with the transportation of disadvantage kids to their location. They could post their need: a return trip for 20 students from downtown Halifax to the campgrounds 2 hours from the city. The camp might only be able to offer $200 towards the cost. An organization or individual with a bus could see the post and offer to fulfil the trip for a donation receipt for the equivalent of the cost of diesel, but might need a little more for the cost of the wages of the driver. In this case I would connect the charities with those who would like to support the mission financially.
