To get the ball rolling, so to speak – Emily and I have decided to buy our own personal bus and be the first to make our vehicle available to those in need. To be able to do this, we have given up our second vehicle and committed much of our resources to buy the bus and have it properly insured.
The next steps for us are to have the bus safety inspected and registered. This is where we need help. Back to the reason why buses are not a good investment, especially for charities – they are expensive!
We have launched a GoFundMe and have set a goal of $10,000. Anything is appreciated and nothing will go to waste. The first step will be to get the bus safety inspected, however I would like to do better. I have a vision for a few amenities for the passengers such as a few more seats, improved lighting and a proper stereo system. As many of the passengers are likely to be underprivileged children, I would like to promote a feeling value amongst these treasured individuals.
